Before You Start

Which boxes do I need to fill out?

If you don't know your exact building details, you may fill out Box 1 (Basic Information) and then skip down to Box 8 at the end of the form and click "SUBMIT". We will then contact you to help establish your requirements.

Please note that Box 1 (Basic Information) allows you to upload a file containing a rough drawing (if you have one) of your building concept. This upload is not required, but if included, will be EXTREMELY helpful both to us and you in allowing us to better and more quickly establish your requirements.

If you know your building details (or partial details), please fill out Boxes 2 through 7 as completely as possible. The more detail you can provide, the faster and easier it will be for us to prepare your quote.

To finalize your submission and send us your information, click on "SUBMIT" in Box 8 and you're done!

To upload a file containing your building drawing (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .jpg, .gif, .tiff, etc.), click on "Choose File" below, navigate to the location of the file on your PC, and select the file.

2. Building Information

Schley Buildings strives to provide you the best building for the best price and best use. We will offer recommendations throughout the remainder of this form to help achieve that.

  • We recommend the building width be in 3' increments (24', 27', 30', 33', etc.)
  • We recommend the building length be in 9' increments (27', 36', 45', 54', etc.)
  • Height of the building must be a minimum of 2' taller than your tallest overhead door.

Monolithic Concrete Floor?

If you plan to have a concrete floor we HIGHLY recommend having the concrete poured before the build. (Floor drain is only available with a concrete floor.)

In-Floor Heat?

(In-floor heat will require a 5" concrete floor and high-density foam.)

Build Option

We can construct your building or provide you with a "material only" package if you prefer to build yourself.

Commercial Structure?

A commercial structure with state-approved plans is required if the building is to be used to produce income or for public use.

3. Overhead Door(s)

For overhead doors you may select up to four (4) different door sizes and specs here, along with your preferred quantity of each. If you require more than four (4) overhead door sizes, please contact us.

  • If you plan to heat the building at any point, you will need thermal overhead doors.
  • We recommend you place your overhead doors in the endwall if possible to avoid snow buildup in front of them.
  • A 14' tall overhead door will accommodate any vehicle that is road legal without permits.

If overhead doors are more than 2' lower than the building height, Hi-Lift brings the door tracks closer to the ceiling height.

If overhead doors are more than 2' lower than the building height, Hi-Lift brings the door tracks closer to the ceiling height.

If overhead doors are more than 2' lower than the building height, Hi-Lift brings the door tracks closer to the ceiling height.

If overhead doors are more than 2' lower than the building height, Hi-Lift brings the door tracks closer to the ceiling height.

4. Walk/Man/Service Door(s)

For walk/man/service doors you may select up to four (4) different door sizes and specs here, along with your preferred quantity of each. If you require more than four (4) walk/man/service door sizes, please contact us.

  • Recommended size for walk/man/service doors is 3' wide x 6'8" tall. Other options are 2'6" wide x 6'8" tall, and 6' wide (double door) x 6'8" tall.

5. Windows

Windows are available in many different sizes; common and recommended sizes are selectable below. ALL SIZES ARE APPROXIMATE.

6. Other Building Features

Vented Soffit Overhang

A vented soffit overhang is required for a heated building; the most cost-effective size is 18".


Wainscoting

Wainscoting is a separate decorative 30" panel on the bottom of your walls in a different color.


Eavelite

Eavelite is a translucent polycarbonate material that allows light in and should only be used on buildings that will not be heated. Placement is at the top of one or both sidewalls.


Insulation & Liner

Insulation will be an R-19 Batt for the walls and R-45 blown for the ceiling (an option of spray foam on the walls is available). Liner (wall and ceiling covering): ceiling will be Brite White steel, walls will be plywood, Brite White steel, or a combination of both.
